User Testing
Cognisant Research understand that the pharmaceutical industry has costly regulations to comply with relating to the user testing of patient information leaflets. We have developed a range of solutions, from a one-off basic testing service to a full PIL review and testing programme.
Our approach is not only to meet the MHRA’s regulatory requirements and achieve a 100% PIL pass rate, but also to reduce the long-term cost of testing. To achieve this we focus on:
- Producing high quality useable information – to meet the MHRA’s regulatory requirements.
- Reducing the long term cost of your PIL User Test programme – by testing programmes and identifying Parent & Daughter formats.
Our Approach
Whilst other companies have developed their own method we have adopted the MRHA approach as the most effective way to gain approval.
Methodology: We use an independent qualified pharmacist to identify 15 information points to test as well as the appropriate target patient group.
Resondents: The respondents are not NHS professionals and are filtered to ensure that they have not been interviewed in the last 6 months.
Project Management: For each project we have a named Project Manager/Research Executive who produces a weekly status report, as we see that communication is key.
Quality: As a Market Research Society Company Partner quality is important to us. Our service doesn’t stop when we publish our report. We ensure that all our clients receive ongoing support through the MHRA submission process.
Experience: Since 2006 we have carried out 85 user tests for 27 pharmaceutical companies. We also and have access to 1,077 potential respondents.
